The Sentiero delle Fornaci was inaugurated on 5 August 2023. A ring with departure and arrival in Sante Marie, which runs through the sites of the old kilns located in the countryside of Poggetello and then crosses the village with a stop in the garden of the Borgo Poggetello Association and before returning. Seeded along the way you can admire the artistic bricks created by different artists during PoyArt 2023.
Near the Hospitaller Communities of Marsica it is possible to climb practically all year round in breathtaking natural settings. The routes are within everyone’s reach, for experts and non-experts alike.
Our Relais has an agreement with KEYMOUNT which offers a set of itineraries to be covered on foot, on trekking excursions or by bicycle (mountain bike or e-bike) based on your level of preparation and the emotions you want to experience. Discover the details of each route and give (and treat yourself) a journey to remember, to repeat, capable of leaving its mark on the life and soul of those who travel it.
A few kilometers from us you will find several riding stables that offer excursions and riding schools.
Tagliacozzo, whose name means “cut in the rock” and refers to the split in Mount Bove on which it stands, is part of the Club of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. According to a beautiful legend, the name derives from the fact that Talia, muse of comedy and daughter of Zeus and Mnemosine, stopped to rest near the river Imele during her wanderings, giving the place its name: the otium di Talia, Tagliacozzo.
In the area there are some of the most important caves in Abruzzo, such as the Ovido di Pietrasecca and the Grande dei Cervi cave in Carsoli, the sinkhole of Val di Varri in Pescorocchiano, the Luppa cave in the municipality of Sante Marie and the caves by Beatrice Cenci in the municipality of Cappadocia, just to name the most significant ones.
Archaeological site built in the 4th century BC. as a colony of Latin law in an elevated and well-fortified position of approximately 34 hectares on the slopes of Mount Velino in Abruzzo. at 1000 meters above sea level it is located in the contemporary municipality of Massa d’Albe (AQ) close to the medieval village of Albe, a few kilometers north of the city of Avezzano.

The aim is to remodel the places of the small village through a dialogue between art, history and tradition. The urban space that becomes a place to express oneself, an open-air art gallery where the works do not remain confined in a closed space intended for an elite public but reach all citizens, guiding them on a completely new artistic journey in which the street it becomes a museum. A rebirth of the Abruzzo village where art becomes an open-air museum.
